About the House

An independent label, since 2000

Nobel Records is an independent record label, founded and run by Morten Augustinius. Everything on the label is recorded, produced and mastered at Nobel Studio, Oslo. That's not a policy, it's just how it has always worked.

The catalog spans more than two decades: folk-blues, americana, songwriter records, chamber pieces, Norwegian language releases, the occasional Christmas carol. Wide in style, consistent in craft.

We distribute worldwide through The Orchard and Musikkoperatørene AS. Sister label NorthPop handles Norwegian language releases and physical distribution.
